Our excitement from the glitch[dot]fest is still F R E S H and yet, we have one more thing to share with you right now!
During our festival we received an overwhelmingly positive response from all of you, which was fantastic to say the least, and for which we are so grateful! In addition to that, we were approached by the hosts of a another, upcoming festival, which leads us to the reason for this post:
CREATIVE CODE FESTIVAL
We are excited to kickoff the reopening of Lightbox with CREATIVE CODE FESTIVAL. A 4-day visual art curation in collaboration with Never Knows Better, New Media Art, XRE Ensemble, Celeste Journal & Creative Code Art. Over the course of our showcase dates, we will be bringing together innovative new media artists from New York City and abroad, showcasing over 100 artists' work at our event space, as well as virtually, for participants.
Several glitch[dot]cool members who participated in the glitch[dot]fest have sent submissions of audio-visual work as requested by the hosts - all materials are up to 10 minutes long and are essentially parts, or re-worked sections of the sets that we streamed during our own event.
With extreme hype, we are glad to share this with you and invite you to learn more about the festival, and even purchase tickets and visit it yourself, if you are able to!
Tickets are available at this link
The festival will take place in New York, hosted at this wonderful event space:
Lightbox
Our submissions will be exhibited during the 14th of November. Exact times will be announced in the future, but it would likely be in the span of a 2-hour block. We are going to be presented under a common roster of Glitch Art.
The complete roster is consisted of 100+ artists and you can expect a huge variety of artistic expression over the 12th and 15th of November, which is as long as the festival will last.
Additionally, the festival will be recorded by videographers and will be streamed on Twitch, as well as accessible through a platform, named Sansar, which is available on Steam for Windows, and is something similar to a virtual reality game that lets you explore virtual events (VR and non-VR both supported).
**Stay tuned for additional details during the following days, as well as an official announcement of the exact time when our submissions will be exhibited. ** **Thank you for your support! **
